Yeah.......... Pretty sure this is a dedication to gaiju movies like Gozilla. Robots were used to fight Godzilla in the 60s, that predates anything ever. Everyone with half a brain knows this is a continuation of Gaiju movies. Anything with fighting robots or big monsters is a copy of Godzilla movies.

So, to be clear: giant robots plus giant monsters equals carbon copy of Evangelion? Shit, better tell Rahxephon, Gurren Lagann, Big O, Aquarion, Gundam, etc etc to stop being such damn plagiarists then.I like Eva as much as the next guy, but having common elements doesn't mean it's exactly the same story. I guarantee you Pacific Rim will have substantially less frustrating navel gazing, for one.

yeah. Like evangelion is only manga with big human controled robots. That is hardly unique concept. The thing I hate most about your comment is that idea should be used only once and than nobody could use it. IMO best things in the word happened thanks to iteration.
